How long have you worked in IT recruitment?

I have been working in tech for over 11 years.

Why do you enjoy working in IT recruitment within the Bay Area?

I enjoy helping guide people through the various obstacles that they would encounter in the tech industry within the Bay Area.

What makes you a great recruiter?

I have always been passionate about helping people reach their goals. I pay close attention to details and ask thoughtful questions. Choosing a career is a big step that can make a huge impact on your future.

How did you first learn about Maris Consulting Group℠?

I first learned about Maris℠’ parent company, The DeWinter Group, from a recruiting agency. I could not pass up the opportunity when it was presented to me.

If you were to provide advice to peers in tech seeking to develop their careers, what would it be?

My advice would be to utilize their network. Be open and have a positive attitude. It goes a long way.

What’s your favorite thing to do in the Bay Area/Silicon Valley?

My favorite thing to do in the Bay Area is to go to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk with my family.

What did you originally want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a tennis player.

Burnout – Green Day.

A South Bay native, Brian graduated from California State University, Chico with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science. He has over 11 years in high tech sales in Silicon Valley: building relationships, working closely with customers, prospects, and partners. He is people-driven and loves working to help make a positive impact on people’s lives with a new thrilling career.

Outside of work, you can catch Brian out with his family on the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk going on rides and playing games. Brian enjoys surfing as well. Besides being active outdoors, he is also active indoors with his daily 5:00 AM workouts at Orangetheory Fitness.
