How long have you worked in IT recruitment?

12 years.

Why do you enjoy working in IT recruitment within the Bay Area?

I have always been passionate about technology and the Bay Area is the perfect environment for IT recruitment.

What makes you a great recruiter?

I am a great recruiter because I love connecting with people and learning about them. I start by understanding the business requirements specific to every client and go from there!

How did you first learn about Maris Consulting Group℠?

I first heard about the DeWinter Group years ago through my brother-in-law and when I joined, Maris Consulting Group℠ was born!

What’s your favorite thing to do in the Bay Area/Silicon Valley?

My favorite thing to do is just spending time with my daughters. We go to the beach, hike, and take plenty of photos everywhere!

What did you originally want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a doctor.

Born in Manila, Candace Arillo moved to the Bay Area in 2006. After graduating from Saint Paul University with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, she launched her career in account management before accepting her first role in recruitment in April 2007 with a Santa Clara, California-based recruiting agency. In 2009, she was promoted to an account management role where she oversaw full-cycle recruitment for several large employers within the electronics and semiconductor industries. She then worked for several employment agencies where she further honed her skills in recruitment account management working with employers across a variety of industries including information technology to identify and match professionals with qualified job opportunities. Candace joined the DeWinter Group in March 2019 with over 10 years of recruitment experience and a true passion for helping tech professionals find job opportunities aligning with their career goals, moving on to Maris Consulting Group℠ in May 2019.

Outside of work, Candace enjoys traveling with her two daughters, Sammie and Bella, and capturing as many moments as she can with her photography.
